Shelby, a 5-year-old girl battling leukemia, had the time of her life as the Make-A-Wish Foundation® granted her wish to visit Walt Disney World® Resort in February 2006.  The “happiest place on Earth” was the perfect getaway for Shelby and her family, who finally had the chance to relax and enjoy a week free of rigorous medical appointments.  Through the generosity of DisneyHand, Shelby had a smile on her face as she made memories to last a lifetime.

Shelby and her family had many other adventures to experience while visiting Disney—exploring the wonders of Magic Kingdom®, home of Cinderella and her enchanted castle, Epcot®, Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park, Disney-MGM Studios and all that central Florida has to offer.
